Dortmund's Marco Reus wins vote to function on FIFA 17 cover
Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus will function around the cover of EA Sports' FIFA 17 video game after winning a fan vote.
The 27-year-old beat out Real Madrid's James Rodriguez, Manchester United's Anthony Martial and Chelsea's Eden Hazard as receiving the most of more than 3.1 million votes cast on EA's web page.
Reus, who has created 29 appearances for Germany, will put on the captain's armband for Dortmund this season.
"I'm honoured to join an incredibly distinguished group of footballers to seem around the cover of FIFA," Reus said inside a statement.
"Most of all I'm humbled that the fans have selected me, and I will strive to create them proud with my functionality on the pitch."
FIFA 17 is scheduled to become released in North America on Sept. 27 and worldwide on Sept. 29 on Pc, Xbox and PlayStation.
